I was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1965. I came to the UK with my family when I was 4.
Growing up in the East End of London my parents had a shop and then worked in factories.
In 1982 my parents said yes I could study for my A Levels.

In 1985 my parents said yes I could study for my BSc in Computer Science.
Seconds since 1st January 1985:
I was blessed with parents who wanted me to do well. I guess it was part of their plan, to come to the UK and improve.
They taught me to respect my elders. So, thank you mum and dad! That is over a billion seconds and counting.
